Eric J. Keller founded Soulcatcher Studio in 2002 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, after living up and down the entire West Coast.  Since picking up his first camera at age ten, Eric has spent over four decades deeply immersed in the art and business of photography.  During that time, Eric has served as a photographer, photography gallery owner/director and independent exhibition curator (including with the U.S. Embassy in Katmandu, Nepal, and the Lishui International Photographic Cultural Festival in Lishui, China).  He is the former Vice President of the Board of Directors of Blue Earth Alliance, a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to supporting photographic projects that educate the public about threatened cultures, endangered environments, and other social concerns.  Eric has also served as an independent consultant at dozens of Portfolio Review events throughout the United States, as well as to publishers of fine art photographic monographs and documentary film productions.

Now Eric brings this wealth of knowledge and experience to every project he photographs, helping clients tell their own story through a collective, creative vision.  He’s been around long enough to know what works, and just as importantly, what doesn’t.  Eric is committed to building long-term, personal relationships with clients by offering them the highest quality images at competitive rates.

Eric J. Keller/Soulcatcher Studio is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA and Los Angeles, California.  He is available worldwide for assignments.

TESTIMONIALS

“I love Eric’s work.  He always brings a high level of creativity.  When I do live shows, he really captures the energy and spirit of my band.  Eric is a true pleasure to work with.”
~ Fantastic Negrito, Three-time Grammy Award-winning Musician

“Eric has an approachability that makes the most modest of people smile with ease in front of his lens.  His intention to capture someone unaltered allows the subject to be themselves.  After taking some images quite candidly, I was so elated with them that I used one as the cover of the “Tomorrow” EP that I made in collaboration with Pink Martini.”
~ Jimmie Herrod, Vocalist, Pink Martini & America’s Got Talent Finalist

“Eric has photographed two of the productions I directed for the Santa Fe Opera.  He manages to capture the passion of opera on film - grabbing both the epic storytelling of the moment and the beauty of the singers and productions.  I am thrilled to have his images that so perfectly capture the power of opera and live theater!”
~ Shawna Lucey, Opera & Stage Director; General Director, Opera San José

“Eric was a gem to work with in a festival environment.  He captured my comedians on stage and behind the scenes, was quick and effective, never in the way or obtrusive, and the turnaround time was impressive.  I also really loved the shots!  I can’t recommend Eric highly enough.”
~ Jessica Baxter, Founder & Director, Cloudtop Comedy Festival

“Working with Eric has been a huge part of my self-love journey.  I felt comfortable and at ease.  I felt safe and confident when I was with him and am super excited to work artistically together in the future!  I highly recommend him!”
~ Natalie Trujillo, Boudoir Photography Model

“It was wonderful to work with Eric.  He not only brought out the best in me and made me feel at ease, but he captured some photographs of me that truly reflect who I am and who I strive to be.”
~ Jessica E. Jones, Grammy Award-winning Operatic Soprano
